You have to respect Rondo for his heart

By Chad Garner

The Boston Celtics might not be able to overcome the much more athletic Miami Heat in the NBA playoffs, but there's no questioning the heart and desire of Rajon Rondo.
The ultra-quick point guard showed all basketball fans why he's one of the premier point guards in the league.
We all know he's got blazing speed, the ability penetrate the lane and dish or score, and we also know his jump shot is ugly and inconsistent at best.
But we all found out in Game 3 vs. the Heat how much he cares about winning and not letting his team and the fans down.
Rondo got tangled up with Dwayne Wade in Game 3 and came down on his arm and suffered a dislocated elbow.
It looked gross on every replay in America, and no one thought he was going to come back into the game.
But Rondo returned minutes later, virtually playing with one arm and gave the Celtics and their fans a gigantic lift.
Rondo played great and inspired basketball -- yes, with one good arm.
So if anyone wants to question how tough and how much heart Rondo has, you better re-think blasting this kid any other time through his career.
He's what is right about all sports. Rondo showed his true colors on the court and earned a boatload more respect for playing through the pain and putting his team first.
Respect is earned. Rondo's got my full respect now!
